Last night I finished "Rescate en el Tiempo (1999-1357)", the original name is: Timeline (1999-1357)[/B, by Michael Crichton, the same who wrote Jurasic Park.
It is amazing, it combines technology (cuantic theory) with medieval stuff. Crichton took a lot of advice before writing it, you can feel the history very real, it is different than "back to the future the movie". I strongly reckomend it

"La Patagonia que Canta" by William C. Rhys
It tells the history of a colony of people from Walles who come to the Patagonia to make a new city in 1850´s. William Rhys was one of those pioners. That were hard days, the indians were hostile, the ground was not Walles grassland... but they did it, and many places in Patagonia have Walles names still now.

End of Eternity - Isaak Asimov (today) Every two years I re-read the complete history of Asimov. He wrote some Robot novels, about when humanity has just colonized few planets around Earth, and he also wrote the Foundation saga, about the Galactic Empire, 30.000 years in the future. Then he merged both sagas into one, about 17 volumes. I adore this story!!!! End of Eternity is considered the best book of Asimov, and you can read it as a beggining for any history you will read later. Those who had read it will understand me I adore other Asimov books, like Foundation, Foundation and Earth, and many others, but End of Eternity is.... just amazing.

Ten days later, December 11th 2005, I finished reading the next book, the first of Asimov´s novels about robots.
Caves of Steel
Here appears for the first time two of his most popular heros: Elijah Baley and Daneel Olivaw The history happens in Earth but many centuries in the future, where people live underground in large cities called caves of steel. Baley has to discover who murdered a spaceman to avoid an interplanetary conflict that may put Earth under attack by the other 50 Space planets.

A movie was made after this film, at the end of 70´s and it was Michael Dougla´s first important movie.

Uh I have read a lot after "Coma", like "Sphynx" from the same author.
Today I finished "La Reina Libertad (1) - El Imperio de las Tinieblas". In english: "The Freedom Queen 1 - Kingdom of Darkness" But the original name is La Reine Liberte 1 - L´Empire des tenebres because the author Christian Jacq is french.

I had the intention to post here every time I finish a book but I read a lot! The last one was "Moises faraón de Egipto", what means "Moises pharao of Egypt". The author tries to link Moises, the biblic character who leaded his people through the desert out of Egypt with Akhenaton (my favorite pharao) who was the first monotheist, the one who woship one god only and was the father of Tutankamon. I don´t agree with his opitions but I like this book because he tells a lot of facs, he tells what was wrote in certain tomb, in this or that letter found under the ground, etc. A lot of archeology.
