Hello everyone. I've had a week off work and my husband and I popped up to Nottingham for a couple of days to see the Tennis. Nottingham is only 2 hours away from us so we went up on Tuesday and came back Thursday. I have a few photos so I'll pop them on a website again! Sorry I havn't posted too much, but we have had a couple of fun days. We had a call when we were away from our estate agents (realtors) saying that the people buying our house had pulled out of the deal So when we got back, we had to tidy the house etc and get people viewing it again. So all done now and we have another buyer, so the purchase can move on. We have our neice over this weekend to stay so we a are bit busy with her! Hope to catch up with y'all soon

Nottingham, huh, that is were part of my family (my great-great grandpa) is orginally from (i'm a huge genealogy addict ) Sounds like you had fun though Who did you get to see? What was the link to you photos again? I didn't bookmark it so I don't remember it Ugh, i can't believe the people pulled out of the deal You just don't seem to have much luck when it comes to houses! Hopefully this buyer will work out. That is a perk of renting, when i get sick of this place i can just leave! How old is your niece? My nephew is 14 months old and he is such a cutie!!! He is finally getting to the stage where you can play with them. I'm not much of a baby person really, so I glad he is finally getting to be a toddler

I saw mainly the British guys in Nottingham - that was Jonny Marray, Alex Bogdanovic, Arvind Parmer and Greg Rusedski. I also caught Paradorns match on Wednesday. It was a great tournament, very friendly & good atmosphere - we shall go again next year. My neice will be 4 yrs in September. She's got to the stage where everything is "No I don't want to" !!! So we just shrug and say "well you're going to" She just says it to everything, then when you actually do something - like play a game, go cycling etc, she is quite happy ! 14 months is nice too - they are still at the "baby" stage but beginning to have a personality. I love babies, don't really know why, just as they are so helpless, it's nice to actually look after someone..... one day ! We've been out with my father today for a meal which was great. Now we're sitting down eating Maltesers and watching the Grand Prix. Early night tonight as my neice woke up at 3am (wanting an apple !!) and then at 7am. So we're a little tired now ! Hope you had a nice weekend

Hello!!! Welcome back Lisa! Glad to see you had a good time! Lucky you (and all european people) you have all at the reach of your hand! Here we have a day off! It is the "day of the flag". Does it sounds silly?? Well, it is an anyversary of General Manuel Belgrano´s death (20/6/1820) and he was our flag creator. The legend says he looked to the heaven and saw light-blue sky and white clouds and so he choosed these colours. Other people says another story: We rid the spanishs in 25/5/1810 (that´s our major celebration of the year) but we did not have our own goverment for many years, so some important guys contacted I don´t know which noble from Europe (some kind of Conde, or Duque), it was supposed we would have our own monarchy, and they made a flag with this colours because they were this noble´s family colours, to congratiate with him Anyway, it is the Day of the Flag, or Flag Day (don´t know how to say it in english), so I will stay home and watch Wimbledon on TV and be at the computer all day

Hi ALe DAy of the Flag doesn't sound silly at all. It's nice to celebrate some of your countries heritage. (And it is a very nice flag!) Here we don't really support our own country enough. As it's Euro 2004, you can buy car stickers & little flags (showing the English flag) that fix to your car window. A company here has ask all employees to remove all English promoting items from their cars as it may upset the French ?!?!?!?!! Which country do I live in again??? How annoying is that ? Nevermind. Keep your fingers crossed for Marat today. I'm hoping his match will start later in the day so I am home from work ;D

I love babies, don't really know why, just as they are so helpless, it's nice to actually look after someone..... one day ! i guess i perfer things that can look after themselves, lol, I just can't stand them crying and not knowing why - hungry, tired, diaper needs changing, doesn't fell good, is just in a bad mood - i'm not good a reading minds, I'd rather have a 2 yr old anyday! Atleast they can point to their tummy if they don't feel good Sounds like the US Don't do such-n-such because it might annoy the (fill in the blank) Everyone is so paranoid about offending someone that they just act stupid

Here we have a day off! It is the "day of the flag". Does it sounds silly?? Actually it was Flag Day here last Monday (the 14th), it isn't a big enough holiday for people to get the day off though. Is that why this forum is light blue and white, to match the Arg. flag?

Is that why this forum is light blue and white, to match the Arg. flag? No way!!! In fact I don´t like too much my flag (even when I am proud that many countries in CentreAmérica are using it too, another good story) it is not because that! I choosed these colours trying to find some who do not hurt your eyes but be nice at the same time. I tried other combinations too, and this one looks very good, but I swear it is nothing to do with my flag. In fact, when I compared with the flag I though to change them because somebody could be upset, but it was a lot of work and it looks nice. My favorite combination is not good for boards where you have to read: Purple, Red and Black.
