Mercedes-Benz Brings Yannick Noah Association (Fête le Mur) to Monte-Carlo
On Saturday, disadvantaged children from the Yannick Noah Association (Fête le Mur) were made guests at the Masters Series Monte-Carlo's qualifying day thanks to the generosity of the tournament’s main partner and ATP premium partner, Mercedes-Benz. During the sunny afternoon, the children enjoyed themselves while attending matches at the prestigious Monte-Carlo Country Club.
At noon, the young fans were welcomed by Mercedes-Benz and ATP directors to the commercial village which is overseen by Mrs. Maud Delcambre. The young fans received charitable gifts and also took some exciting pictures.
The Yannick Noah Association trains "grands frères" (Big Brothers), helping them to earn a teaching degree in tennis. They are also given assistance with job placement in cooperation with local partners. Big brothers, typically between 20-25 years old, can then help mentor young and disadvantaged sports fans.
The Association was created in 1996 by Yannick Noah. Currently, the Fête le Mur Association has about 20 sites in France and Belgium. With two tennis courts and training walls, these sites welcome about 100 teenagers for training by professionally-certified Big Brothers.
