Roland Garros Runner Up Magnus Norman Retires © Getty Images Magnus Norman, who won 12 career ATP titles, announced his retirement Thursday during a press conference at the Stockholm Open in his native Sweden. Norman reached a career high ranking of No. 2 in 2000 when he was the finalist at Roland Garros and a semifinalist at the Australian Open. He won five titles in both the 1999 and 2000 seasons. In addition to his 12 career titles, he was a six-time finalist. The 28-year-old Norman said he based his decision to retire on his on-going battle with various injuries. His final event was last September in Shanghai where he reached the quarterfinals. Norman's career record was 244-177.
