Which one would you want to win if you could win any of them?

I would say Wimbledon. The history, the surface, the crowd...everything there is perfect. And it would become more of a triumph, because Grass courts are so few now adays.

I agree, all players know that Wimbledon means the histrory, the tradition, all those things. But here in southamerica everything is clay and the players always say they want to win Roland Garros. They say Wimbledon would be a perfect dream, but Roland Garros may be an objetive reached. So if I was tennis player, I should be thinking in Roland Garros.

It's funny, those are the two tournaments I was torn between. I like clay courts the best, but Wimbledon just means so much. But of course, a lot of Latin American countries like the clay above life itself! Just kidding, but you know what I mean!

Reasons to prefer each one: Wimbledon: the most important Roland Garros: Competitice, specially if you play on clay from the beggining US Open: The prize money Australia: ... you can see it is the less voted.

Wimbledon - as I'm British. I'm sure all players would want to win their own home GS the most

yup, probably Wimby is the last one i would like to win personally. They are just too snobby, arrogant and conceeded at Wimby, it really turns me off. I couldn't care less if it has been around longer especially since it is only 4 years older than the US Open. For me the order is US Open Aussie Open (although i'm still mad at them for changing the name of Flinders court lol ) Roland Garros Wimby

Bit controversial there tall_one! Being British myself, I have to prefer Wimbledon though I do agree that there is a certain amount of snobbery attached to it. Certain British pundits reckon Wimbledon is by far the best and all the others are second rate.
However, Wimbledon is great as it's a little bit different to the other Slams with its tradition and dress code. I certainly think it's more interesting than the other 3, especially the Aussie Open - I mean really, who is that bothered about it? Even the Aussies prefer to win Wimbledon! It's no surprise that the Australian Open often gets a surprise player reaching the latter stages (Clement, Schuettler, T. Johansson) as the top players simply don't care enough.

It would be a tie between Wimbledon and the US Open for me. Both are awesome!
