We lived the Williams era, where they were #1 and #2 in the world and they played all the GS finals, and big tournaments... Then suddenly the Belgian pair come and did the same, they won everything, the top of the ranking... But always with a lot of Russians at the sight, many in the top ten and top 100 and now two Russians played RG final... What do you think?

i think most lower ranked women have probably been seeing the way the Williams sisters play and have been altering their training/play to compete with them. It seems to have co-incided with a lot of young Russian women breaking through. Which is great. It's always nice to see new faces on the tours. But hopefully many more players will start to appear in the next few years with games that can rival the top players. For too long, the womens tour seem to have 5-10 top players and the gap between them and everyone else seemed to be huge. Now the gap is getting closer

Do you think that young player will try to be like the William sisters? Many body-working perhaps? It may be good to see it, but I did not seen a girl so powerfull, the sisters play like men sometimes, and they hit so hard that they make many unforced errors.

Yes, I see what you say. I would like to see womens playing become a little more about strength, some matches can be rather boring and slow. Kim has a good varied game to watch, tactical and strong. But no, I wouldn't like to see too many Serena's on the tour... it doesn't seem quite natural.
