I don´t see tennis since long time ago, so I don´t have favorite retired players, maybe Marcelo Filippini from Uruguay. I like David Nalbandian and Eleni Daniilidou, my favorites. Also: Kuerten, Safin, Doyle (Ireland), Capriati, Ferrero, Moya and others.

My favorite is Eleni Daniilidou!!
But I grow up watching Steffi Graf and Gabriela Sabatini. They are the best for me. And in the ATP: Guillermo Vilas and Pete Sampras.

Oooh, I think John McEnroe and Jimmy Connors from years past. Also kind of appreciated Lendle, but he always seemed to have a bit of an "attitude". And past women, Aranxta (sp?) Sanchez
Todays
Marat Safin Tim Henman Andy Roddick And getting to like Nadal the more I see him play. Think he'll make very good results soon
and Jennifer Capriati Anastacia Myskina

Well, I forgot to post my other favorites: Since years ago I´m fan of Franco Squillari, because he is lefthanded and he has my age. And since ATP Buenos Aires 2004 I am fan of Richard Gasquet, I saw him in an auxiliar court playing first round match and I become a fan inmediately. I asked him for an autograph (the one and only I asked in my life). He reached Semifinals in this tournament, lost to eventual champion Coria.

In the past, I've always missed watching Laver's game. It was brilliant. He and Ken Rosewall. I could watch them play for hours. And of the women, Virginia Wade for being the most underappreciated tennis player ever. Every year, England makes a big deal that Henman could be the first Briton to win Wimbledon since Fred Perry, and they never mention Miss Wade once. Currently, I have enjoyed Lindsay Davenport's game for ten years now. It's very crafty that she can play in a style to limit her weakness (movement) and keep her opponents running instead. And in the men's game, Coria on clay. He is an artist on clay courts.

Any word on Coria's injury? He's been out for a while, and I'm starting to get nervous...
