Sampras has all the records, he just failed to win Roland Garros. He was very impressive, very hard to compare.
Federer is still too young and he can win everywhere. This year he was just impossible to defeat. It´s up to him.

Can,t say yet' as you say Federer is still younge and also very tallented but only time will tell whether he can perporm at this level for the next few years. Sampress however is at the end of a long and briliant career and has proved his worth. Ask me again in five years time.

Sampras is the best tennis player I ever seen. (excluding Steffi)

I think both, but I voted Federer 'cos I'm sure he will reach the level and the titles of Sampras... ...the sign of both is Leo like me , jajaja so both are the best ones!! ..jeje.(never mind)..I would have to try to play on grass too ...jajaja.. Kisses!

i think that, right now, Sampras is better. What made him so good was the fact he was so good, year after year after year. Roger has only had 1 good year and 1 great year, now if he reamains number 1 for the next 4 years then I will happily change my vote, but for now it goes to boring old Sampras (who i can't stand btw, lol)

A very very tough question but Im going to go with Roger basically because I feel he is a better all round player than sampras was!

My qualifications are: if both were to die today, who would be most well remembered. Sampras, easily. But in ten years, I'd say Federer might just be better. Maybe. Time will tell, and Roland Garros will determine it.
