OKAY! I got it to work. My vote is definitely Zvereva. She was the most talented player I've ever seen, and just couldn't hold it together mentally. Then, I'd say Mauresmo, Clijsters, Coetzer, Jaeger, and Dementieva.

Another interesting theme: do you think Pam Shriver would have been a better singles player if she had stopped playing doubles?

Kims the one I would say closely followed by Amilia Mousresmo. Two years ago I would have defenetly said Jelena Dokic:D Her games gone downhill now but she,s still the sexiest: :D8-)

I would agree. Dokic is very sexy. But Barbara Schett! If only she were a better player...

Do you think Andrea Jaeger would have won a slam if she had started later in her life, instead of being a GS semi-finalist at 14?

Dementieva lost two finals! I never imagined Kuznetsova could win a GS! I am not sure who is Andrea Jaeger, but i think i have read this name before. Is she an old player (Navratilova and King times) or is she a junior? I voted for Amelie Mauresmo.

Andrea Jaeger played in the late 70's, early 80's. She was the youngest ever semi-finalist at US Open, youngest seed at Wimbledon until Capriati, and she reached the final of Wimbledon in '83, and Roland Garros in '82. She was only 14 when she turned pro, and only 19 when she retired. Martina Hingis-esque, but not a GS winner like Martina.

I'm really partial to Kim, in large part because I don't like Henin. But, also, Kim has such a wonderful all-around game. She will go down as a great, regardless of whether she wins a slam or not.

I agree that Dementieva deserved to win a slam this year, but I don't put her in the same class as Clijsters and Mauresmo, or even Coetzer, because her game isn't very complete. If only her serve were better, she could wipe players off the court. But, as I said, she can't try and make her serve faster. Once she gets and intelligent, spin serve going, she might just be unstoppable!
