Yes, it was the German! Joseph Ratzinger. But his name is Benedicto XVI

the guy is super conservative Just read an article about the guy, he won't even let people work with gays. I had hoped that they would elect someone that could lead catholicism into the 21st century, not keep it in the 15th centery this doesn't affect me personally but wether i like it or not the guy has an opinion that people listen to and i have to deal with some of those people

I have seen a nice story on TV... Argentina was (somehow) cheering for a CARDENAL (don´t knwo how to say it in english) who had some chances to be Pope (Jorge Bergoglio). But a family in a town called El Chaltén (Neuquén) was celebrating a lot! They told the story to CNN en enspañol: in 1912 the grandpa come from Germany, he was Ludovico Ratzinger and he was cousin of the pope. They said when Joseph Ratzinger was claimed Bishop he remembered he had a cousin with this name and they started to send letters each other. So they knew German´s bishop was their relative, and not he is the pope! They have a famous character in the family, even when the pope may not know they exist
