From the Book of Rules:
7- Changing a Player’s Name
[/font][/b]
You cannot change your player’s name during the season! If you want, you may switch to another player, like explained in Rule N° 5.
LRWTT organization will open a thread to change the player’s name only twice ayear: At mid-season (first week July) and at the end of the season (December). These are your only chances to change names.
You can change your player´s name now and this will be official since the 26th tournament in 2008. So you´ll keep the current name until end of season.
Remember: Your new name must be ranked outside 150° to the end at the moment you change the name.
Also remember: If your player is not under the rules anymore (I mean if she is ranked better than 150, like MARIA KIRILENKO, or if she is not ranked/retired like ANNA KOURNIKOVA or KRISTIE BOOGERT) you don´t need to change, once you picked her name this IS your player.
FED CUP! Your player nationality changes with the name.
You can choose your new name in order to join or create a strong Fed Cup team. You can talk with other players to decide how to focus this competition in 2007.
Remember, in this game your player can not change nationality (Serena Williams playing for Spain, or so).
Changes:
#31 Essi LAINE (FIN) --- Nicole RINER (SUI)
#66 Claudine SCHAUL (LUX) ---- Stefanie VOGELE (SUI)
DEADLINE FOR CHANGING NAMES: Saturday, June 28th 2008
Remember!
To change your player name will also change her nationality, so it will be great to make new Fed Cup teams!
We will play another Fed Cup in the second half of the year.
